Praying with God

PRAYING WITH GOD

I recently had a dream in which I was traveling throughout the nations together with Joshua Mills, we were ministering in the glory of God, preaching the gospel and demonstrating the miraculous, when all of a sudden we were at the border of certain nations that were totally closed to Christianity, in fact I recall leaving the area because there was an arrest warrant and it was too dangerous to proceed.

As we were praying about what to do next, for whatever reason we were hiking or prayer walking we began to discuss the importance of changing our perspective; I do not recall what was mentioned but our prayers changed and our entire way of praying changed, we were uttering words that seemed to come directly from heaven, we were so in tune, it was very light and the prayers carried tremendous faith that was released down on the earth. Change of circumstances was the result and the influence of the enemy on earth was decreasing, as the Lords spiritual domain was increasing. I had a sense that the only small role we had to play in it was that we needed to pray what we heard, but the prayers originated not from within ourselves but they were inspired by the Spirit of God.

In the morning during my devotion the Holy Spirit stopped me at Psalm 121 and as I was praying into it, I felt the Lord said that the reason prayer is often so fruitless and dry is because we are not involving the Holy Spirit enough to rely on Him, waiting on Him what He wants to say; religion, formality and principles that dont work is the result but living faith is absent. There needs to be a time of waiting and hearing and praying what we have heard, and if we dont know what to pray there is a helper, who helps us to pray..

God wants to make a shift in our lives from praying TO GOD only, to PRAYING WITH GOD.. we pray to God to praise Him, to fellowship and communicate with Him, and so that He meets our daily needs (Matt. 6:9-15), and we pray with God (Rom. 8:26-27) as His co-laborers, working with God and with each other (1. Cor. 3:9), declaring His purposes, so that His reign can break into this physical world and His light will shine and push away the darkness

“I will lift up my eyes to the hills—

From whence comes my help?

My help comes from the LORD,

Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to be moved;

He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel

Shall neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD is your keeper;

The LORD is your shade at your right hand.

The sun shall not strike you by day,

Nor the moon by night.

The LORD shall preserve you from all evil;

He shall preserve your soul.

The LORD shall preserve your going out and your coming in

From this time forth, and even forevermore.”
